Privacy Policy

ARA is a golf scoring and leaderboard app operated from aramakandiwa.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you use ARA on the web or as an installed app, and how you control it.

Information we collect

• Account details: email address, password (stored securely, never visible to us) and display name.
• Golfer profile: avatar choice, handicap, home club and anything else you add to your profile.
• Game data: games you create or join, flights, hole-by-hole scores, results and leaderboard positions.
• Bets: side bets you set up or join, stakes, chosen settlement method and paid/unpaid status.
• Optional payout details: Geo Payment number or bank details, only if you choose to add them.
• Social: golfers you follow.
• Notifications: a device token if you turn on phone notifications.

How we use it

• To run your account, games, scorecards and live leaderboards.
• To show your name, avatar, handicap and scores to other golfers in your games and in search.
• To calculate bet standings and who owes who. ARA never holds, receives or transfers money.
• To send account emails and, if enabled, game notifications (invites, round started, results).

Who can see your information

Your email address is never shown to other golfers. Payout details are shown only to players who owe you money in a game you both played. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Service providers

We use hosting and database providers to store app data, an email provider to send account emails, and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver phone notifications.

Deleting your account and data

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data (profile, scores, bets, payout details, follows and device tokens) at any time by emailing privacy@aramakandiwa.com from the email on your account. We process requests within 30 days. You can turn off notifications in your phone settings at any time.

Children

ARA is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We will update this page if our practices change, and note the date at the top.
